In April 2020, during lockdown, I was approached by Hyroglifics (who'd found my Instagram account) to create some visuals for a stream they were doing for Twenty Twenty London. The first piece was really well received by the hosts, Ivy Lab, who asked me to more Evil Needle and Sicaria Sound.
From a technical standpoint, each piece built on the previous:
The Hyroglifics piece was my video synth footage treated with the Rutt/Etra technique and filmed off the screen of a 1970s Tektronix 600 series monitor.
The Evil Needle piece was my video synth filmed off the screen of an early 70s Sony Trinitron TV.
The Sicaria Sound piece was raw video synth captured via some BlackMagic devices.
All were edited in Premiere.
The Hyroglifics piece was later recoloured and reused, projected live over Ivy Lab DJing their Digital Mirage 2 set.
