Oscilloscope-driven visuals: X/Y/Z oscillographic/vector work made with various Eurorack modules, mixed and fed into a modified MB Games Vectrex console.
I have been experimenting with this technique since producing and sharing a PDF walking through the Vectrex modification procedure I put together after finding various sources online. My PDF has been used countless times by people all over the world, to my knowledge, no one has had any accidents, but plenty of audio/visual artists and musicians have subsequently explored Vectrex-based oscillographics.
I also use various vintage cathode ray oscilloscopes from companies such as Tektronix and Leader. These provide a different quality of image, as the components used in their manufacture were of a much higher standard (and not developed for playing games on). Combining this with video Eurorack modules from LZX Industries and others, I can now recreate the Rutt/Etra or Vasulka technique, where a video image or source is manipulated on the oscilloscope screen.
